I know, most people are too fast for the level content currently out. But is all this mindless, stupid and annoying energy burning quests necessary? It really kills the fun in the game. Examples? You may know the 'narrow passage', a subrealm for traversing in the next bigger realm entity. So you do the quest and the log sends you downt the narrow passage. At the end you find a door to the next realm, unfortunately one level higher than the last one. Not bad you might think, but in the narrow passage are no monsters. So you have to go back the whole line and level up, then come back again. Stupid i hear you say? No, not enough: Once you successfully managed (with severe swearing) to pass the narrow passage, you end up in another small realm with the quest location. Talk to the guy - go further, and advance to the next realm. Oh - once more a level cap. Once more no monsters to level there. Once more to go back, this time 2 levels...

Guys, you serious about this??

Ok, been there, done that. The next quest is a peace of cake, not worth mentioning. But the next two - once more energy wasters, and dumb ones: First you have to know the rough structure of levels there; L36 is connected to L37, L38, L39 and L40 (wich is currently still radiated...). So finishing the lame L36 quest you go to L37, level up and go back to L36 then L38. There you find a quest which states roughly "...you are surrounded by tachysomethings, go kill 15 and youre done...". Funny thing: the local monsters are not the tachythingies but something very different. The tachythingies can be found back in Level 37. So once more back and forth, back and forth.
Another example? Next quest. You have to repair some sewers or so, and in the mission text it states: "... Begin with the pipe North-West of here,...", but when arriving there you can do nothing. Thankfully i found a hint to the right one (Sylen). Stupid, eh?

If you feel the same and want to share your frustration let me know...

Hi all you out there,
i dont know who is actually reading all this, but i will continue. So, today is promotion day. Unusually the promotions happened yesterday due to some..., yeah, ... , bottles of wine ;) Anyways, since all decisions have been made allready in conjunction with the Agents i only had to inform the members. And it looks like this: five promotions to Agent (conquerer7, fred123qwe, Natemck, NaomiAzzet, LuBo), two promotions to member (Kearon, NonnoNaz), and some kicks of Initiates. After all a very successful week for Red Cell.

Yep, we did it again: more investments in the form of new members slots. We offer currently a home for 25 members, of which at the time of this posting 21 are occupied. Great times, and i think with 25 permanent members we will have reached the final members count. Not trying to get the biggest faction, but the best. Yes, the best. Maybe not in terms of XP or what, but in terms of overall game experience. We will stay the tight group of players we are now, focussing not only on the sheer numbers of the game, but on the fun aspects. For some its leveling, for some its communication. For all its Red Cell!
And we have started another recruiting drive for players without faction at the moment. We don't do poaching. Having reached 21/25 players we will now calm down on recruiting and see what the new initiates are about, who will stay and who has to go.
Furthermore, with the enabling of tagging we will most probably change our ranking system. Basically it will stay the same with Initiates-Members-Agents but tweaked a little bit behind the curtains.

Yes, now we also have item tagging! Quite expensive, but i hope its worth the investment in further smoothing our handling of fluxed gear. And since we are at this topic, namely upgrading, we also installed a Faction Advisor. This tool offers the ability to have closer look at the financial situation of the alliance without the need of torturing googlespreadsheet or excel like hell ;).
Yep, quite expensive, especially since item tagging only makes really sense when you have a Faction Registrar - so this one had also be installed, L2 of course (doesnt make it cheaper...). And a new slot for a structure had also to be installed for exactly that reason...

Speaking about manuals: it may obvious for the old FS player how tagging works and so on, but did HCS also think about all the new players with no existing FS experiance? I want to have at least a small manual which covers the basic things like this. Don't get me wrong, i don't want to have everything about this game revealed (I hate spoilers), like mechanisms and so on, but playing infos.

On a personal note - new levels came out, great! [rant]
What i observed: Many players who want an easier game. Many players buying elite locations. Many players complaining. Hey, do you get the real intention of this game? Of all games?? Having fun. Is it fun buying elite locations, en masse? Where is the honor of killing one and completing that damn hard quest NOT on your own? I for myself would also prefer not having elites as final quest mobs, but it is as it is. Deal with it.

And all the PvP whiners(sorry, don't know a better word). Its not THAT hard to avoid being killed in a arena: move fast, move diagonal, avoid obvious ambush spots. If you have to repair, use hotkeys (eg. a-r-a) to move on, repair, move off. And after all, you dont loose that much in PvP, right? That few credits dont make a difference, and you're not interested in the PvP  ladder anyways, right? Oh, energy you mean? Use it in your favour - have to go to the pyramid? Just wait until somebody kills you and (sometimes) you have crossed half of the map for just 0 energy. [/rant]

After the influx of all the new members the first big promotion day is over. Overall only two Initiates have been rejected (kicked) and one stayed at Initiate level. The others were promoted to full Members of Red Cell!

New Members: henkalex, Lubo, mxok, NaomiAzzet, Natemck, ShuShu.
Kicked Initiates: Dzorgo, NightHawk

Together with this two new seats are available at Red Cell and we are trying to fill them until next promotion day, where maybe also Agent ranks will be granted.
Also some changes in the faction forums, we made a spread sheet on all publicly available faction gear, for greater versatility.

14 out of 15 spots occupied in Red Cell. Our recruiting drive is now stopped, and we will see how the current Initiates perform. After the consolidation phase where we will check the initiates we will see if we start another recruitment drive or if we upgrade to more member slots.

Hopefully all initiates proove worth staying in Red Cell.

Mkay guys im annoyed. I made a lengthy post with all that informative stuff and so on, only to get notified that it got lost in transmission. Probably the failure of my WLAN (god, how i hate it...). So - if you are going to write some articles, do it at your desktop...

Yep. Thats the initial post. Just made at the end of creating this page. I hope you get the info you need and like the reading found here. If you have issues with the content let me know.
